The heat is not the only issue facing fire pit owners and their pets.
The West Coast Fire Pit Ring in the state’s Pilbara has a notoriously long and winding ring road that is used for several fire pits at once, as well as the notorious fire pit at the top of a hill near Mt Hood.
“The road is a real problem, because there are three or four pits all at the same time, it can get very congested,” owner Kieran Hogg said.
The pit was built to last for hundreds of years, but it has been on a slow-motion tear over the years. “
Sometimes we have to close the pits at weekends for a few days or weeks at a time.”
The pit was built to last for hundreds of years, but it has been on a slow-motion tear over the years.
It took more than a decade to build the pit itself, which is currently about 200 metres high and 80 metres wide, and it was the work of a team of workers that had to work in long shifts, often during peak hours.
The pit is also a work in progress, with the first fire pit to be installed almost 10 years ago.
“The work we’re doing here is really important, it’s something that’s really important to people,” Hogg said, which is why he had to make the decision to have the pit built at all.
“We’ve got to make sure it’s good quality, it needs to be maintained, it has to be protected from any pests and it needs protection from weather.”
In an effort to make things as simple as possible for the pit owners, the Pit Master has also set up a website where people can download a checklist to help them decide what to do to keep their fire pits from breaking down.
Hogg says the checklist is the best resource anyone can get to keep things running smoothly.
For those who have a fire pit in their home, the checklist includes everything from fire pits to fire pits and fire pits that can be set up in their back yard, as the Pit Master will also be keeping an eye on the site to make any changes necessary.
Anyone can sign up to the Pit Masters online form, which includes a link to sign up for email updates and a checklist, and also a downloadable form to fill out in person.
If you are unsure if your fire pit is safe, or you have any questions about it, the information on the website is also important.
“I think it’s important that people get it as soon as possible so that they can do their due diligence to ensure that it’s a safe and responsible thing to do,” Hogg says.
In addition to the checklist, the site also has a section dedicated to fire pit safety, including a guidelines and safety standards for fire pits, including one for the Pitmaster.
According to Hogg, the new Pit Master plan is to continue working with the local fire departments and local councils to ensure a safe environment for people and pets.
